Voice acting requires effective communication – along with story-telling – that captures the viewer or listener to believe and feel what you are saying. Make no mistake, a good voice and a microphone won’t get the job done. Inflection, tonality, and timing are important elements of voice acting.
At 57th Street Media, we will teach you how to create the emotional landscapes needed to make each project a masterpiece. Our program can be executed in one of our studios, via telephone, or over Skype. Classes are one hour in length with home assignments given. While we provide all commercial ad copy, you are also welcome to bring ads from magazines or other sources if you like.
Our job is to train you to sound professional and fully understand how to conduct yourself on an audition, on the job, and in business operations as a voiceover talent. After completing our training, you will have a voiceover demo that will give potential clients and agencies an idea of what you are truly capable of as a voice actor.
You will know how to professionally interpret ad copy and deliver it flawlessly. In addition, you will know how to conduct yourself in a studio, how to take direction from a producer, and understand how to market yourself to talent agencies and local businesses.
